Silver Eagle isn't a reskin, but only the Warriors get that set. Don't know why Anet didn't make it for the other professions.

@OP, this is pointless. People have hundreds of thousands of platinum and after a few days there will be several people in kamadan showing it off. There isn't really a thing as prestige armor. No one cares what you have or how it looks, only how they can get it themselves. If you only want to impress others, you're going to have issues.

I don't want anymore armor, just the old dye system back so I can actually dye armor something other than black/white and make it look good.

I doubt many people would be against new armor. Options are always nice. I don't, however, believe the reason for adding new armor should be prestige. If anything, new armor should be added to give Assassin, Ritualist, Dervish, and Paragon the same number of options as the core classes. Balance out the number of available sets.

You mean Prophecies armor for Assassin, Rit, Derv, Paragon...Factions armor for Derv and Paragon? I like that idea IMO.

Zahr, if Silver Eagle is reskinned, even from multiple sets as you suggest, what is it a reskin of? Care to provide pictures showing which armor it is a reskin of? Wiki and Wkia will both provide pictures for any/all armor sets, so post some pictures of which ones are used for the reskin of Silver Eagle. I'm quite curious, cause when I look over them, I can't see anything that looks like a reskin.

But yes, I could be happy with Granite Citadel and Marhan's Grotto providing armor for Sin, Rit, Derv, and Para. Likewise, I could be happy with Vasburg Armory, Leviathon Pits, and the Divine Path providing armor for Derv and Para.

Male body is Elite luxon, helmet is a reskin of primevil. It's not as direct of a reskin as most, there are modifications, but it is a reskin.

I was also under the impression that Silver Eagle was added as an EXTRA armor set for Warrior (no other class gets as many sets in Eye of the North) because it was existing. Something about it was made in the original armor designs, but for some reason never put in the game. Since it was already there, they just tossed it in. This would mean if anything was a reskin, it would be the other sets, not Silver Eagle.

And I do see similarities in the Elite Luxon top that you mention, but it doesn't look like a reskin to me. They aren't THAT similar imo. But this is off topic.....

Read the entire thread instead of stopping at the top please. EoTN armors are reskins, not new.

^This.
We were just talking about that in alliance chat the other day... Non-core classes don't have NEARLY as many options as core, and could definitely benefit from more armor. The devs have shown that they don't mind keeping us all involved in GW1 with their updates, and I don't know who would be opposed to new armor, BUT purely for prestige is just a dumb idea.

I still stand by it won't matter for what the OP is talking about. Even if 20 new armor sets are added for every profession... you will still see that FoW/Mask of Mo Zing/Chaos Gloves combo all over the place.

Yep, it would be nice to have more armor for the rit, sin, para, derv...or I guess any new armor for whatever.

And I also agree, "prestige" is a rather silly reason for adding armor. (Frankly I find only one set of Obi armor somewhat tolerable, the rest makes me cringe, but that's just me. )

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. XD There are a few sets I like, but none of them are so delightful that I prefer them over other armors.

It's been said before, but no matter how ugly the armor or item is, there will be people who want to buy it just because it's expensive, and they think it will earn them respect. If you like it, fine, but if you're just doing it for the 'prestige', grow up a little.
